Okay "eyes like teeth" gave me actual chills. This whole poem just feels so cold. And so true. I really felt that ending.

I originally wrote it thinking about my co-workers, I had to laugh writing it but shit I spent like two years next to these people who don't gaf about me and didn't even know my name. Like, how do you be in the trenches with people for that long and not even introduce yourself? I dunno . . .

Two years and not even your name — that's the whole poem, honestly, you don't need to add anything else to it. I think that's why "eyes like teeth" works, it's not really about them being cruel, it's about being looked at by people who never actually looked.
