What they have given back
Readings written are shown as plainly as poems published — there is nothing to unlock by leaving one. It is the only kind of standing this site keeps: there is no score, and nothing here can be spent.

the shape does the grieving for you — i felt the call getting smaller before i reached the last line. "the bars on my phone / go quiet" might be the saddest two lines you've written.
The refrain about never learning the words, just how they feel — I think that's true of most of the things we actually carry. Gorgeous form for it.
the whole poem is one long looking and it never once looks away. "stay lost in those eyes that tug on my soul." "my light, my daydream" is exactly where to land it.
"loving you is existing, and i want to exist" — i've been chasing that exact feeling for years and here it is, said plain. this is the one that made me follow you.
"the milk belongs to tomorrow." read this weeks before i ever posted here. it's still in me. hello, newest fan.
"let me be missed by small things." that's the whole prayer. i'm keeping this one where i can find it.
"i am, it turns out, my mother's house." a sestina lives or dies on whether you forget the machine is running, and by that line i had. that's the compliment.
"the size of please, the size of after the tone." i've never seen a person measured in seconds of a recording before. devastating and exact.
"I left it. I left town." you let the line be as plain as the grief is. no decoration. it wrecked me.
