What they have given back
Readings written are shown as plainly as poems published — there is nothing to unlock by leaving one. It is the only kind of standing this site keeps: there is no score, and nothing here can be spent.

This is beautiful. The way the town appears in my head, and the way people seem to disappear into certain layers or landmarks, like they just vanish into the background when the mill closes only to be swallowed up and replaced by the resounding birds, birds that were waiting in the background to begin with as nature does (unobtrusive but inevitable) -- it's the opposite of poetic justice, it's a poetic crime. There is a lot here, and it will stick with me now. Thank you for putting that in my head
Thanks, my friend! I put this together in my head while slaving away at an assembly line . . .sometimes you just got to go to your happy place, right?
I originally wrote it thinking about my co-workers, I had to laugh writing it but shit I spent like two years next to these people who don't gaf about me and didn't even know my name. Like, how do you be in the trenches with people for that long and not even introduce yourself? I dunno . . .
Thanks you, I really appreciate the love. I was trying to capture some kind of fleeting feeling associated with my childhood, some days of innocence and domestic abuse, I guess. There's a lot buried there and I don't always know how to uncover it . . .
Thanks you!!
